Red Crystals - Love and Passion
Red is the color of passion, energy, and life. It motivates.
It is a very strong color--the color of fire and blood. It is
emotionally intense and affects humans by raising their
blood pressure and speeding up their metabolism. It is a
call to action, a battle cry, and a sign of warning. It excites
us, raises our enthusiasm, and gives us energy.
Red crystals are used when the situation needs passion:
active, involved, energetic action. Red empowers, uplifts,
and engulfs. It cures apathy. It gets things done, Red is
action and drive. If you are suffering from a lack of power,
listlessness, or a low emotional state, you need more red.
Like the scarlet ray, the red ray brings us a self-
confidence built on fearlessness. When the need is for
action without hesitation or self-doubt, use a crystal with
a fiery ray of bright red.
In lighter shades of red (usually with some light orange
mixed in), like pink, the strong passion and power are
toned down to subtler, more feminine aspects. This is the
color ray of determination, commitment, and caring.
Simply, pink is love. Also, pink is a soothing color, useful
to calm feelings of anger or resentment. Pink is a comfort
color that can aid efforts to meditate. Pink shades of
tourmaline, jade, corundum, garnet, spinel, and calcite are
used to aid us in improving our caring and loving
abilities.
In darker shades, red is tinted with brown or black. Here
the power of the color ray is not muted but mixed with
darker and more earthy, powerful overtones of brown or
the power and mystery of black. Dark red stones are
stones of very hard, durable energy and quiet passion.
Strong, deep feelings call for a strong, deep-red crystal.
Dark red is a masculine color.
Dark red rays of influence have a wide variety of healing
applications. The dark red stones are particularly useful
for increasing devotion, and seeing the seriousness of life.
They have a power similar to the light scarlet stones in
their ability to amplify our tenacity and dedication,
particularly in physical efforts.
Ruby, topaz, spinel, carnelian, cuprite, garnet, red jade,
moonstone, red jasper, calcite, tourmaline, and sardonyx
are some of the red crystals with a wide variety of uses.
